Allred misses cut DailyTidings.com Writer Posted Sep. 12, 2014 @ 5:59 pm Posted Sep. 12, 2014 @ 5:59 pm » Social News COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ashland native Jason Allred shot an even par 72 in the second round of the Nation Children's Hospital Championship on Friday, a four-stroke improvement over his first-round performance but not good enough to make the cut at Ohio State University Golf Club. Allred, who missed the cut by two strokes, made two birdies and an eagle on the back nine but couldn't overcome his five bogeys.  The NCHC is the third of four events that make up the Web.com Tour finals. Next, Allred will compete in next week's Web.com Tour Championship, which will be played at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.   SOU softball camp First-year Raider softball coach Jessica Pistole, along with members of her team and coaching staff, will be holding the 2014 Southern Oregon University Softball Camp on Oct. 10 from 2-5 p.m. The camp will be held at Medford's U.S. Cellular Community Park and is open to those in eighth grade and high school. Cost is $40 per player and includes a T-shirt. Group and individual instruction will cover offensive skills such as hitting, slap-hitting, baserunning and mental training; defensive skills including fielding, throwing, position work and mental training; and pitcher and catcher skills. A question and answer session for parents regarding recruiting will follow the camp. The attached flyer includes more information and a registration form.
