Robert Menendez, D-NJ, and a wealthy political donor were indicted earlier today on charges of corruption. Menendez is alleged to have used his position to benefit Dr. Salomon Melgen, a Florida eye doctor, in exchange for gifts, the Justice Department said today. Both men were indicted on eight counts of bribery, one count of violating the travel act and three counts of honest services fraud. Jerry Brown said at a news conference at Echo Summit in the Sierra Nevada earlier today, announcing mandatory water restrictions for the state. MUST-SEE VIDEO: Firefighters rescue child trapped on narrow ledge Chinese firefighters were dispatched to a building where a pedestrian noticed a 6-year-old girl perched precariously on a ledge several stories up in the air. The girl is believed to have climbed down to the ledge from her third-story apartment’s window because she was bored while her parents were away.
