The transient was taken to the Jackson County Jail in Medford. 3:48 p.m. Monday - A woman turned in pipes and leather bags associated with drug use at the Ashland Police Station on East Main Street. The woman said she discovered the items while cleaning her garage. She believes they belonged to a former friend of her child. 12:23 p.m. Monday- A male transient was discovered sleeping next to the bottle return machines at the Shop 'N' Kart on Ashland Street. The man was highly intoxicated and taken to detox. 8 a.m. Monday - Unknown persons caused $300 damage to a sign in front of the Ashland Family Practice on the 900 block of Siskiyou Boulevard. 7 a.m. Monday - Two U-Haul trucks were spray painted on the 1200 block of Quincy Street. Damage was estimated at $25.
