That Sue Kupillas was tossed out of office by more than 60 percent of Democratic voters only proved what was said throughout the campaign: Most voters felt she had abandoned her party loyalties. Fair enough, the voters had spoken, that it was time for a change. What was egregious was Kupillas' refusal to talk to reporters, to issue a statement to her supporters, or to offer congratulations to Sue Densmore, the woman who defeated her. Sue Kupillas' tenure ended with a pout, a whine about campaign tactics and a refusal to help unify the party behind its nominee. Losing can be hard, but Kupillas understands her public obligations. On this night, she utterly failed to meet them.
