What's documented
Jean-Luc Brunel, a French modeling agent and founder of MC2 Model Management, was introduced to Jeffrey Epstein by Ghislaine Maxwell in the 1980s and remained closely connected to Epstein for decades (Connections of Jeffrey Epstein — Wikipedia). Virginia Giuffre alleged in sworn statements that Brunel recruited girls, including some as young as 12, from Eastern Europe and South America under the guise of modeling opportunities and supplied them to Epstein for sexual exploitation. French prosecutors charged Brunel with rape of minors and sexual harassment in December 2020 and he was held in pretrial detention in Paris. He was found dead in his prison cell on Feb. 19, 2022, in what French authorities described as an apparent suicide, before his case went to trial (Rolling Stone; Death of Jeffrey Epstein — Wikipedia).
Because Brunel died before trial, the rape and trafficking charges against him were never tested
in court; French authorities have not, to available reporting, further clarified their finding
