Angeles Sobell Committee is the Los Angeles, California,
affiliate of captioned organization. In August, 1965, the
name Committee to Free Morton Sobell" first appeared on
literature issued by the Committee..
"Following the execution of atomic spies ETHEL and
JULIUS ROSENBERG in June, 1953, the Communist campaign
assumed a different emphasis. Its major effort centered upon
&#39; MORTON SOBELL&#39;, the ROSENBERGs&#39; co~defendant. The National
- Committee to Secure Justice in the Rosenberg Case, e Communis
.front which had been conducting the campaign in the United
States, was reconstituted as the National Rosenberg-Sobell
Committee at a conference in Chicago in October. 1953, and
then as the National Comittee to Secure Justice for Morton
