Jesus Francisco Gamboa, 26, a resident of Rogue Valley Mobile Village at 3761 S. Pacific Highway between Phoenix and Medford, was indicted on charges of unlawful use of a weapon, recklessly endangering another person and three counts of first-degree attempted assault. Gamboa pleaded not guilty to the charges Wednesday. He has a pre-trial conference set for May 26 in Jackson County Circuit Court. On April 30, Gamboa allegedly got into an argument with Antonio Regalado, 19, and Regalado's father, 49-year-old Jose Regalado-Gonzales, then went into his trailer and came back out with a gun in his hand, according to an affidavit. The father and son rushed to a vehicle driven by Regalado's mother, 41-year-old Estela Regalado-Landeros, the affidavit said. Regalado said he saw Gamboa point the gun at the vehicle from about 10 feet away. Regalado said he heard three shots, but believes Gamboa may have fired into the air because no bullets hit the vehicle. Estela Regalado-Landeros said she did not see the gun but did hear the shots, the affidavit said. The family members found no bullet holes in their vehicle, the affidavit said.
