MEDIA KOBI-TV gives out final YES grants to area schools Comment MailTribune.com Writer Posted Feb. 22, 2016 at 12:01 AM Posted Feb. 22, 2016 at 12:01 AM » Social News KOBI-TV in Medford has wrapped up its YES program after providing grants totaling more than $100,000 to area schools for extracurricular activities. YES (Youth, Education, Success) awarded its final grants Friday. In its three years, the program has provided 56 grants, with an average grant amount of about $1,800. Grants have been awarded to schools in Jackson, Josephine, Klamath and Coos counties. Examples of grants awarded included $2,266 to Shady Cove School for middle school athletics, $1,500 for a garden project for third-graders at Ruch Community School and $2,000 for an outdoor school program for sixth- and seventh-graders at Butte Falls Charter School.
