Communications manager Anne Seltzer on Tuesday said she’d received several inquiries about saving spots on both the median and city sidewalks. New grass was planted in the boulevard’s median recently. City officials don’t want to damage the turf with a repeat of the last few years, when placeholders were spread out a day or two prior to the parade. The city will confiscate items placed on the median before Friday morning. They will be placed in the Civic Center parking lot, 1175 E. Main St., for pickup. "We really hope that people will kind of embrace the spirit of this and exercise some restraint and courtesy," said Seltzer.
