Dunlap fuels Mustangs win REDDING � Travis Dunlap went 4-for-5 with a two-run home run to lead the Medford Mustangs American Legion baseball team to a 13-5 opening game win over the Redding Tigers Sunday. The Tigers took Game 2, 3-2 in eight innings. Dunlap highlighted a five-run sixth inning with his blast, while Chuck Shine also went deep in the inning. Tony Conklin picked up the pitching win, allowing only one earned run in six innings of work. The Mustangs held a 2-0 lead in the nightcap but faltered in the late innings. Redding�s Ty Bolen was hit by a pitch to lead off the eighth and eventually moved around to third before scoring the game-winning run on an RBI single by Ben Edwardson. Colby Gonzales had three hits for Medford in the first game. Shine added two hits and four RBIs. The Mustangs (1-1) host Klamath Falls on Wednesday in a 7 p.m. non-conference game at Miles Field.
