More suspects named in Wimer marijuana robbery, assault Monday Apr 24, 2017 at 7:02 PM Apr 24, 2017 at 7:02 PM Vickie Aldous Mail Tribune @VickieAldous Six new suspects have been named in the robbery of a licensed Wimer pot farm in which thieves attacked a grower and fled with more than $300,000 worth of marijuana in a U-Haul-type rented truck. The Jackson County District Attorney's Office is in the process of getting warrants for the suspects, who are believed to be from out of state, said Deputy District Attorney Marco Boccato. "It's a concern for law enforcement and we want to treat this seriously," he said. "We don't want people to believe they can come to Oregon around harvest time and make out like bandits. We want to make sure we prosecute them as aggressively as possible." The DA's Office wants the suspects in the December 2016 robbery arrested and extradited back to Oregon, Boccato said. Frank Williams Foremski already has been arrested in the case and pleaded guilty Monday to charges of first-degree burglary and first-degree aggravated theft. In a plea agreement, he will not be sentenced to jail on those charges, according to court documents. However, Foremski still faces a robbery charge that could net him five years and 10 months in prison, Boccato said. Boccato declined to say whether Foremski is cooperating in the investigation against the other suspects. A court indictment lists the additional suspects as Dennis Earl Reynolds, Jody DeVille Reynolds, Edward A. Molet, Christopher Tyrone Osborne, Derrick Earl Shields and Leonta Flowers. The suspects allegedly stole more than 300 pounds of processed marijuana worth $300,000 to $400,000 and carried it away in a truck. They allegedly attacked James Bowman, 56, of Blue Sky Gardens and left him tied for hours until workers found him the next morning, according to reports soon after the incident. Bowman was hospitalized for several days with injuries that included two black eyes and a broken nose. The suspects also allegedly stole his 2012 Subaru Outback.
