Local Report: No reserved seats open for Ashland playoff game There are no reserved or covered seats available for Friday�s state playoff football game between Ashland and Clackamas. The ticket booth opens at 5:30 p.m. at Clackamas High, with admission $6 for adults and $4 for students. Game time is 7 p.m. Directions to the school are online at soctoday.com. Duck Club set to meet Wednesday at noon The Southern Oregon Duck Club will meet for lunch at noon Wednesday at J.J. North�s Grand Buffet, 1016 N. Riverside, Medford. The cost is $7. Youth hoops league tryouts set at Superior The Southern Oregon Developmental League will hold tryouts for 5-8th graders at Superior Gym & Fitness on Saturday, Nov. 18 and 25. The first basketball tryout runs from 2-3:30 p.m. for grades 5-6 and 4-5:30 p.m. for grades 7-8 on Nov. 18. The second tryout on Nov. 25 runs from 2-3:30 p.m. for grades 5-6 and 4-5:30 p.m. for grades 7-8. Team selections will be Nov. 30 with league play starting the weekend of Jan. 6. RVSC Avalanche fall shy in President�s Cup semis The Rogue Valley Soccer Club Avalanche fell shy of its goal of advancing to the finals of the President�s Cup. The Avalanche beat Hillsboro Magic 2-1 with two goals from Caitlin Seeley in Game 1 of semifinal play. Stephanie Cotta earned an assist on one of the goals, with the other coming on a direct kick. In Game 2, however, the Avalanche dropped a tough 1-0 decision to Westside Metros Patriots. The Avalanche outshot the Metros but could not find the net. Westside Metros moves on to the finals next weekend. Registration deadline nears for hoops leagues Registration deadline for the winter 5-on-5 basketball leagues at Superior Gym & Fitness is Friday, Nov. 24. There is a maximum of eight teams in each of the five leagues and registration is first-come, first-serve. League play begins Sunday, Dec. 3 with a $5 fee for members and $75 for non-members. Team cost is $450.
