Central Point police arrested Elko late Saturday on charges of possession of amphetamine, disorderly conduct and interfering with a police officer. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail, where he remained late Sunday in lieu of $12,000 bail. Assault — Cheryl Linn Francis, 40, of the 1300 block of Aspen Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Francis early Sunday on charges of third-degree assault, driving under the influence of intoxicants, resisting arrest and three counts of harassment. She was lodged in jail, where she remained late Sunday in lieu of $42,000 bail. Eluding — Christina Marie Martin, 23, of the 13000 block of Upper Applegate Road, Jacksonville. Phoenix police arrested Martin Sunday on charges of attempting to elude police in a vehicle, reckless driving and possession of amphetamine. There also was a warrant for her arrest stemming from her failure to appear in court on a drug charge. She was lodged in jail, where she remained late Sunday in lieu of $22,000 bail. Burglary — Wendell Scott Workman, 42, of the 300 block of Bessie Street, Medford. Workman faced added charges Sunday of first-degree burglary, theft, and criminal trespass and unauthorized entry of a vehicle following his June 25 arrest by Jackson County sheriff’s deputies. He remained in jail late Sunday without bail. Fire call Structure fire — 800 block of Adams Road, Medford. The cause of a fire that destroyed a shed Sunday evening was unknown. Fifteen firefighters with four engines responded to the 6:46 p.m. blaze, said Fire Capt. Dave Heaton. The shed contained metal-working equipment, he added. No one was injured. Miscellaneous Vehicle pursuit — Two people led sheriff’s deputies on a 30-minute chase through White City and Butte Falls around 9 p.m. Sunday. Deputies arrested Kiki Baldridge of White City and Chad Elliot after they refused to stop when deputies attempted to pull their vehicle over on a routine traffic stop near Falcon Street, said Sheriff Mike Winters. Deputies stopped the car with spike strips west of Butte Falls city limits. No one was injured.
