The two shot a 4-under-par 68, putting them two strokes ahead of two other tandems, including one that features Eagle Point’s Carmen Akins. In this four-ball stroke play event, each player plays their own ball, and the team score is determined from the best score on each hole from the two-player team. Morrison and Breitenstein won the event in 1999. Morrison shot 33-36—69, and Breitenstein scored 40-41-81.
