Driver wasn't drunk The driver in an vehicle accident that killed his childhood friend early Sunday morning was not intoxicated, the Josephine County Sheriff's Department said Monday. Travis Pierce, 21, of Grants Pass, was leaving a party on Savage Creek Road when he lost control of his Jeep. His longtime friend, Michael Adam Bassett Annaloro, 20, of Grants Pass, was killed in the crash just after midnight Sunday. While Pierce and others consumed alcohol at the party, sheriff's Sgt. Ron Goodpasture said, a medical test performed on Pierce after the crash showed no alcohol in his bloodstream. Deputies are continuing to investigate the crash and will forward their findings to the Josephine County district attorney's office. Mail Tribune Copyright The Mail Tribune 1999, Medford, Oregon USA
