Jackson County Fire District No. 3 and No. 4 responded to the fire in the 100 block of Highway 234 at 12:52 a.m., according to District 4 captain Rick Lowe. “It was fully involved when we arrived. It’s basically a total loss,” Lowe said. Lowe estimates the shop was about 40-by-70 feet in size. An abundance of tools and equipment were inside the structure, in addition to the boats and vehicles, he said. District No. 4 responded with an engine and a tender, and District No. 3 responded with two engines and a tender. An estimated 14 firefighters fought the flames, Lowe said. A house and a barn were nearby, but fire did not spread to either structure. No one was injured. Crews left the scene about four hours later. A damage estimate and cause were not yet available. — Ryan Pfeil MailTribune.com Writer Posted Dec. 4, 2015 @ 10:38 am » Comment or view comments Terms of Service /* $( document ).ready(function() { // Jquery mobile is trying to style the button and leaving a blank gry button on top of a white button $("#viafouracoms .vf-comment-controls li.vf-right").html(' Submit '); });*/ » STAY INFORMED Email NewsLetter Sign Up Today Sign up for our newsletter and have the top headlines from your community delivered right to your inbox. calendar Connect with MailTribune.com Facebook Twitter RSS Back to top Reader Services Reader Services Home Subscriptions Subscriber controls Contact us Submissions Photos Events Letters to the editor Corrections Announcements Obituaries Story ideas Since you asked Alerts Email Alerts RSS Feeds Text Alerts Advertise Media Kit Home Products and services Ad rates Advertising contacts Propel Marketing Mail Tribune Daily Tidings The Nickel Shop Our Valley Blogs Mobile Site Stay Informed Email newsletter Sign Up Today Sign up for our newsletter and have the top headlines from your community delivered right to your inbox.
