A Medford police officer Tuesday arrested Drake on two counts of first-degree theft and two counts of second-degree theft. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail, where he remained late Tuesday on $18,000 bail. Criminal mischief — Dennis Clayton Hunter, 35, no known address. A Phoenix police officer Tuesday arrested Hunter on charges of first-degree criminal mischief, fourth-degree assault, disorderly conduct and reckless burning. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Tuesday on $40,000 bail. Assault — Dean Scott Watson, 40, of the 1100 block of Withington Street, Medford. A Medford police officer late Monday arrested Watson on charges of second-degree assault, fourth-degree assault and harassment. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Tuesday on $250,000 bail. Drugs — Victor Jose Montes, 36, of the 1100 block of West 10th Street, Medford. A Medford police officer late Monday arrested Montes on a warrant charging him with possession of amphetamines. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Tuesday on $5,000 bail. Drugs — Christopher Sean Waites, 20, of the 800 block of Mountain View Drive, Eagle Point. A Medford police officer late Monday arrested Waites on a charge of possession of amphetamines. He was lodged in jail and later released because of overcrowding. Crime reports Theft — 1800 block of Corona Avenue, Medford. A Medford police officer Tuesday took a report of a theft in which wheels and tires valued at $2,300 were stolen. Advertisement Burglary — 800 block of Valley View Drive, Medford. A Medford police officer Tuesday took a report of a burglary in which $500 cash was stolen. Vehicle theft — 14300 block of Highway 62, Eagle Point. A Jackson County sheriff’s deputy Monday took a report of a theft in which a white 1978 Ford pickup was stolen. Miscellaneous Attempted burglary — Jackson County sheriff’s deputies broke up a burglary in progress at about 4 a.m. Tuesday at a home in the 400 block of Foots Creek Road in Gold Hill, Sheriff Mike Winters said. Four people were arrested. Bobby Joe Mathews, 36, of the 200 block of Southwest Lewis Avenue in Grants Pass was lodged in the Jackson County Jail on charges of attempted second-degree burglary, use of burglary tools, second-degree conspiracy to commit burglary, second-degree trespass, identity theft and a pair of probation violations in connection with the incident. He was being held in jail without bail. Also held without bail was John Nicholas Gallucci III, 28, of the 1200 block of Fielder Creek Road in Rogue River. He was lodged on charges of attempted second-degree burglary, using burglary tools, conspiracy to commit second-degree burglary, second-degree trespass and a parole violation. Russell Mason Kalteich, 26, no known address, was charged with attempted second-degree burglary, using burglary tools, conspiracy to commit second-degree burglary, second-degree trespass and possession of amphetamines. He was lodged in jail, where he was being held late Tuesday on $19,000 bail. Mary Kathryn Deming, 19, of the 2100 block of North Hill Drive in Grants Pass, was charged with attempted second-degree burglary, using burglary tools, conspiracy to commit second-degree burglary and possession of amphetamines. She was being held in jail late Tuesday on $18,000 bail.
