All parents of baseball players between the ages of 13 and 18 are invited. Basketball NORTH MEDFORD AAU TRYOUTS — Sunday, Oct. 27, 5-8 p.m., and Tuesday, Oct. 29, 6-8 p.m., North High. Tryouts are for any 6th-8th-grade boys living within the North attendance boundary. For info, call Tim Sam at 842-1241 or 301-1683. Football MEDFORD LINEBACKERS — Fridays, noon, at JJ North’s Grand Buffet, 1016 N. Riverside. Area football coaches will be the guest speakers. BEAVER HUDDLE — Meets at noon Mondays at JJ North’s Grand Buffet, 1016 N. Riverside. Cost of lunch is $7.50. Meetings slated for Oct. 21 and 28. OREGON CLUB — Meets at noon Wednesdays at JJ North’s Grand Buffet, 1016 N. Riverside. Meetings slated for Oct. 9, 16, 23 and 30 and Nov. 6, 13 and 20. Golf JAZZ JUBILEE TOURNAMENT — Wednesday at Stewart Meadows and Quail Point Golf Course. 9 a.m. shotgun start, 1 p.m. second nine. Cost is $68 per player or $272 per team. Tee time is 1 p.m. for Saturday and 8 a.m. on Sunday. Format is two-man best ball and two-man scramble. Benefits high school golf programs held at RVCC. Cost is $100 per player. NORTH MEDFORD BLACK TORNADO TOURNAMENT — At Cedar Links Golf Course, Friday, 8 a.m. All proceeds go to North Medford High Auditorium/Sound fund. Cost $50. Call 842-3675. Running STAGECOACH RUN — Jacksonville, Oct. 19, 9:30 a.m. Race features 5 and 10-kilometer events. A one-mile run is also available for children and adults at 9 a.m. Proceeds benefit the Pear Blossom Scholarship Foundation. Call Dr. Doug Naversen at 773-3636 (days) or 899-1214 (night). Skiing MT. ASHLAND PROGRAM — Mt. Ashland is looking for two volunteers to coordinate the Medford Elementary After School Ski Program. Mt. Ashland provides skiing benefits, complete support program and training. Selection process will be completed by Oct. 25. Call 482-2897. Volleyball YMCA FALL REGISTRATION — Rogue Valley Family YMCA fall leagues for kids 3rd-6th grade, currently going until Nov. 9. Wrestling MEDFORD YOUTH WRESTLING CLUB — Sign-ups and first practices for the 2002-20003 season will be Oct. 15 and 17 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the North Medford High School wrestling room.
