The wreck occurred about 5:30 p.m. in I-5's southbound lanes near milepost 44 between Rogue River and Gold Hill, according to the Oregon State Police. Southbound traffic was backed up much of the evening while a state police team investigated the crash scene, according to the OSP. Southbound traffic was rerouted onto Highway 99 around the crash site, police said. Northbound traffic was not slowed by the investigation, police said. No other information was available late Monday.
