Do they keep minutes available to the public? Thank you. — S.T., Talent A record of what is being said at the marijuana-related land use hearings is being kept, but it may take a month for county staff members to comb through the voluminous material and create minutes, which are written summaries of public meetings, according to staff. Meeting minutes are posted online at www.jacksoncountyor.org . Hundreds of people have been attending the marijuana land use hearings, the most recent of which was at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20. Not only are they voicing their views verbally to the Jackson County Board of Commissioners, but many are submitting written opinions and documents into the record. Meanwhile, Jackson County land use hearings that occur at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesdays are televised live by Rogue Valley Community Television. If you miss the live telecast, RVTV videos are posted in less than a week to Jackson County's website.
