Sweet success: Theater celebrates 20 years of gingerbread By Sarah Lemon Updated: Nov 21, 2022 05:09 PM A A 10 View all photos Crowds turned out Saturday, Sunday and Monday to view entries in the 20th annual Gingerbread Jubilee at the Collier Center for the Performing Arts, 23 S. Central Ave., Medford. Contestants in the annual baking contest vied for nearly $3,000 in cash prizes awarded in each of four categories — adult, student, junior student and mixed age group — as well as the $1,000 grand prize. Entries were auctioned off at Friday’s gala to support Craterian Performances. Organizers aimed to raise $275,000, which would push the event total since its 2003 inception to nearly $3 million. This year’s winners are: Best in show: Sheree Cox and Theresa Peplinski; Adult first place: Anne Rager; Adult second place: Teresa Casey; Adult third place: Kate Sharbono; Student first place: Amelia Gladbach, Kate Gladbach and Janessa Pilcher; Student second place: Samuel Thompson, Levi Bruce, Charlie Forrest, Brandon Robison and Tucker Eiynck; Student third place: Gavin Guyette.
