Police fire May 26, 2004 12:00 AM A A Drunken woman arrested — An uncooperative, highly intoxicated woman refused to — go peacefully with Ashland Police officers Tuesday afternoon, spitting — and kicking her way to jail. — At 1:25 p.m., Tera Duke, 45, a transient, was seen craving — into a wooden post with a knife in front of the Vinyl Club on Will Dodge — Way, police officials said. — When police arrived, Duke attempted to walk away. As officers — removed objects from her hands, she tried to kick away and spat into the — eyes of an officer, police officials said. A knife used to carve into — the wood was discovered in her bag. Officers proceeded to put on a spit — mask and tried to lead her away, police said. Again, Duke started to spit — at officers and attempted to kick another officer in the groin. — She was arrested on multiple charges, including assault, — resisting an officer and having an open container of alcohol in public. — Duke was lodged at the Jackson County Jail in Medford.
