MADGE seizes 10 lbs. of meth in Medford By Mail Tribune staff Updated: Mar 21, 2022 11:39 AM A A A Medford man faces a string of felony drug charges after local narcotics officers say they found him in possession of more than 10 pounds of suspected methamphetamine — including five pounds of meth police allegedly found in a home shared with a five-year-old girl. Bruno Osorio-Lopez, 22, was arrested Wednesday night after police allegedly witnessed him throwing five pounds of suspected meth from his vehicle during a traffic stop near Oak and West Second streets, according to documents filed by the Medford Area Drug and Gang Enforcement task force in Jackson County Circuit Court. Police say they also found an ounce of cocaine and three ounces of heroin on Osorio-Lopez. He allegedly made admissions about the drugs, and consented to a search of his bedroom in the 600 block of Palm Street. Inside the bedroom, police found another five pounds of meth, along with “several small bags” of suspected cocaine, $2,000 in cash, digital scales and packaging. Lopez shared the home with a girlfriend and her five-year-old daughter, according to the affidavit filed by police. Osorio-Lopez remained held in the Jackson County Jail as of Monday morning on $500,000 bail pending felony counts of manufacturing, delivering and possessing methamphetamine, manufacturing, delivering and possessing heroin and manufacturing, delivering and possessing cocaine. The Jackson County District Attorney’s Office Friday intends to seek stiffer penalties in the case on grounds that Osorio-Lopez was on probation at the time of his arrest for a 2021 impaired driving conviction. His next court appearance is currently scheduled for Thursday.
