IMPLEMENTATION GRANTS PASS SUSTAINABILITY AND ENERGY ACTION PLAN Meeting the second benchmark of 75% reductions (18% for the City) by 2035 requires an additional 10% reduction from the previous period (7% for the City).97 This could be accomplished through the following 5 steps:Pathway from 65% to 75% Reductions by 2035 Accomplishing these steps is projected to produce an additional 7% reduction in emissions and an additional $257,352 in energy savings annually.98 The result are emissions approximately 76% less than 2021 emissions, and annual energy savings of nearly $600,000.99 The buffer room between this and the 75% goal should be sufficient to account for any increases due to population change100, or delays in Pacific Power’s own transition. Starting these projects (especially the high capital ones) now is critical, as after 2035 the availability of grant funding will likely decline significantly.101 88 BE-6-2 Solar Field Project at Merlin Landfill Site BE-4-2 Upgrade Sports Field LightingT-2-2 Install Additional Charging Infrastructure including direct current fast chargers to support the rollout of ZEV Police Pursuit Vehicle fueling (approx. 6 DC fast chargers for up to around 9 vehicles to be purchased during this period)T-1-1 Finish General Purpose ZEV Rollout (remaining 10 vehicles) T-1-2 Police Pursuit ZEV Rollout (replacement of up to approx. 9 vehicles)
