GRANTS PASS SUSTAINABILITY AND ENERGY ACTION PLAN
Meeting the second benchmark of 75% reductions (18% for the City) by 2035 requires an
additional 10% reduction from the previous period (7% for the City).97 This could be
accomplished through the following 5 steps:Pathway from 65% to 75% Reductions by 2035
Accomplishing these steps is projected to produce an additional 7% reduction in emissions and
an additional $257,352 in energy savings annually.98 The result are emissions approximately
76% less than 2021 emissions, and annual energy savings of nearly $600,000.99 The buffer
room between this and the 75% goal should be sufficient to account for any increases due to
population change100, or delays in Pacific Power’s own transition. Starting these projects
(especially the high capital ones) now is critical, as after 2035 the availability of grant funding will
likely decline significantly.101
