On Sept. 2, Sanderson was indicted for first-degree theft and multiple counts of unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle for a string of thefts in late January in Medford. A statewide felony warrant was issued for his arrest when he failed to appear in court for those charges. Sanderson’s criminal history, which includes convictions in Nevada and California, dates back to 1989 with arrests and convictions for vehicle theft, fourth-degree assault, criminal mischief, third-degree robbery and numerous probation and parole violations. Sanderson was sentenced to prison terms in 1993 and 1994. In California he was sentenced to three years in prison for grand theft auto. Sanderson, born Aug. 20, 1969, is described as a white male adult, 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing approximately 180 pounds, with green eyes and brown hair. He has multiple tattoos, including a unicorn and Tasmanian devil on his right shoulder, a unicorn on his left shoulder, a tattoo of a girl and the word "Jennifer" on his chest, a gremlin tattoo on his right arm, an unknown tattoo on his right calf and three dots tattooed on his left wrist.
