Sands pitches Chieftains to win Mar 29, 2016 12:00 AM A A ROGUE RIVER — Alyssa Sands pitched a two-hitter as the Rogue River softball team upended Riddle 17-0 in five innings for its first win of the season on Monday at Rogue River High School. Sands, who struck out six compared to just one walk, helped her own cause by driving in two runs on a 2-for-3 performance. Marina Hall finished 2-for-4 with a triple, a double and two RBIs for the Chieftains (1-2), who captured the win in five innings by virtue of the 10-run mercy rule.
