City Council OKs mixed-use project on Rossanley Drive The Medford City Council Thursday paved the way for a 486-unit mixed-use development on Rossanley Drive. After a public hearing on two appeals, the council affirmed the planning commission's decision to approve the project. "It appears to be a quality project," said Councilman Curt Bennett. Other council members, however, expressed concerns about traffic. Stonebrook Park will be built on 88 acres on Rossanley Drive, about 500 feet west of North Ross Lane. It will include 338 mobile-home lots and 148 for conventional houses, as well as parks, shops, and day care facilities. It's expected to take 15 to 18 years to complete. The council considered two appeals. The first came from Tom and Heidi Espinosa, resident of Ross Lane, who said the development doesn't mesh with the city's comprehensive plan. The second appeal was from the project's developer, Stonebrook and Associates, which opposed some conditions imposed by the Planning Commission.
