Scott Smith MailTribune.com Writer Posted Nov. 16, 2014 @ 2:00 am Posted Nov. 16, 2014 @ 2:00 am »  Social News 1958 2014 T. Scott Smith, 55, of Kihei, Maui, Hawaii passed away October 10, 2014 while on vacation in San Diego, Calif. with family and friends. Scott courageously battled cancer for over three years. Scott was a man of great faith who was ready for whatever path God had chosen for him. He was a good friend to many people along his path in life and was always there to lend a helping hand. Scott had lived in Maui for 17 years and operated Maui Auto Detailing and Sunrise Pool Service until his declining health caused him to stop working. Scott enjoyed playing golf and followed College and Professional Basketball and Football. He had recently become a fan of soccer as his young son was learning to play. Scott was born in Medford, Ore. October 11, 1958 and graduated from Medford Senior High School and Oregon State University. Scott leaves behind his beloved wife, Geny; son, Jordan; mother, Dorothy Smith; brothers, Terry Smith (Joan) and Randy Smith, all of Medford, Ore., and sister; Shelley Smith of Montgomery, Texas and Medford, Ore. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, nieces, a nephew, many cousins, and dear friends, Larry and Patty Boydstun. He was predeceased by his dad, La Rue Smith and both sets of grandparents. Scott will be greatly missed by his family and friends, but we will all remember his strong belief that we will all be together again someday. A celebration of life was held in Maui October 28, 2014 with many friends coming forth to speak about how their lives had been affected by knowing Scott. Rest in peace, we love and miss you very much.
