Ryan Herbert Trent Williams, 32, pleaded guilty in Jackson County Circuit Court Thursday to online sexual corruption of a minor and child pornography. The charges stemmed from a video found on Williams' phone that showed him abusing the teen victim, as well as explicit messages and photos exchanged between Williams and the victim from November 2015 to April 2016, according to Deputy District Attorney Benjamin Lull.  A sentencing hearing is set for March 10, but Williams faces a mandatory minimum 70 months after admitting to using a child in the display of sexually explicit conduct, according to a court document filed Thursday. Williams has a pending federal charge of failing to register as a sex offender, alleging he knowingly failed to register while traveling from Oregon to Louisiana, according to an indictment filed Sept. 1 in U.S. District Court in Medford. Jackson County Circuit Court records show Williams had been sentenced to prison in 2005 after pleading guilty to second-degree rape involving a victim younger than 14 years old and first-degree sodomy involving a victim who was younger than 12.
