Finalists for the 2014 GingerBread Jubilee have been released, a Craterian Performances news release reported. Contest officials awarded more than $3,500 in cash prizes to the top three creations in adult, student and group categories, along with an overall "Best of Show" award. "Best of Show" was awarded to "Fairytopia," created by Melissa and Rhiannon Corcoran of U.S. Lawns of Medford. It received a $1,000 prize. The first, second and third place winners in the other categories received prizes of $500, $250 and $100, respectively. In the adult category, first place went to Chrissy Munyon and Sam Green for their "NW Coast House" creation, second place went to Rebecca Hill of Sweet Stuff for "I'm Late, I'm Late" and third place went to Shannon Haptonstall for "I love it!" In the student category, Josiah Arthur won first place for his "Shaun the Sheep" creation, Rhiannon Corcoran got second place for "The Cottage" and Samantha Hyde and Janelle and Madeline Shumway won third place for "Gingerbread Jubilee." "House of Snow...Flakes" by Tara Turner, Laney Burridge and Daphne Buscher clinched first in the group category, while "Wandering Oaken's Trading Post" by the Maslow Project  won second place and "Gingerville" by Shelly Cullett and Christopher Mills-Price received third. All the entries will be featured in the Gingerbread Jubilee auction Friday, Nov. 21. The event is sold out. Community tours will be available from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday through Monday, Nov. 22 through 24, at the Collier Center for the Performing Arts, 23 S. Central Ave., Medford.
