A Medford police officer Saturday arrested Towers on charges of identity theft, possession of amphetamines, providing false information to police about a crime, second-degree theft, supplying contraband and an out-of-county warrant charging her with a parole violation. She was lodged in the Jackson County Jail without bail. Burglary — Alfredo Gutierrez-Cervantes, 39, of the first block of Manzanita Street, Central Point. A Central Point police officer Saturday arrested Gutierrez-Cervantes on charges of first-degree burglary, first-degree trespass, harassment and being an illegal alien. He was lodged in jail without bail. Vehicle theft — Jesse Dale Davidson, 19, of the 700 block of North River Road, Rogue River. A Rogue River police officer Saturday arrested Davidson on a charge of unauthorized use of a vehicle. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Saturday on $5,000 bail. Drugs — Luis A. Vellow-Rodriguez, 28, no known address. A Medford police officer Saturday arrested Vellow-Rodriguez on charges of delivery of amphetamines, manufacturing amphetamines, possession of amphetamines, disorderly conduct and reckless endangering. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Saturday on $78,000 bail. Identity theft — Gary Devon Asher, 23, of the 2200 block of Table Rock Road, Medford. A Medford police officer Saturday arrested Asher on two counts of identity theft, two counts of credit card fraud and two counts of third-degree theft. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Saturday on $20,000 bail. Forgery — Gary Edwin Hersel, 39, no known address. A Medford police officer Saturday arrested Hersel on charges of first-degree forgery, writing a bad check and a parole violation. He was lodged in jail without bail. Crime reports Theft — 2900 block of Juanipero Way, Medford. A Medford police officer Saturday took a report of a theft in which checks, a ring and sunglasses valued at $800 were stolen. Theft — 500 block of South Grape Street, Medford. A Medford police officer Saturday took a report of a theft in which a hot tub pump, filter and pipes valued at $2,000 were stolen.
