Merritt shines for Raider track team DAVIS, Calif. - Tiwana Merritt had two first-place finishes for the Southern Oregon University track team at the Woody Wilson Relays on Saturday. Merritt took first in the 400 meters with a time of 55.26 and finished first in the 200 in 25.37. Jeff Bentley's mark of 197-7 in the javelin was good enough for a first-place finish, while Nick Dunn raced to the top spot in the 400 intermediate hurdles with a time of 53.47. Nicole Robertson took second in discuss at 145-10 and set a school record with a third-place toss of 43-83/4 in shot put. Teammate Kena Page finished runner up in long jump with a mark of 17-11.
