Miss Rogue Valley: Kylie Smith, 22, Western Governors University junior Miss Jackson County: Rose Sheldon, 21, a Southern Oregon University senior Miss Rogue Valley Outstanding Teen: Emily Awbrey, 14, St. Mary's freshman Miss Jackson County Outstanding Teen: Sarah Tang, 15, North Medford junior Winners of the Rogue Valley pageant will compete with other counties in Seaside in July for the title of Miss Oregon. The other six contestants for Miss Rogue Valley in the 55th annual competition were Taelor Mayben, 17, North Medford senior; Jasmine Centeno, 17, North Medford senior; Katie Rawcliffe, 18, North Medford senior; SaraDelenn Byrd, 18, South Medford senior; Bailey Aldrich, 19, Southern Oregon University sophomore; and Nadia Lozano, 18, North Medford senior. The other four contestants for Miss Rogue Valley Outstanding Teen were Shaylynn Clark, 16, Cascade Christian sophomore; Justice Williams, 16, Phoenix junior; Sam Williams, 13, Rogue River eighth-grader; and Kaitlyn Boudreaux, 17, North Medford junior. The Miss Rogue Valley Foundation provides opportunities for young women to promote their voices in culture, politics and the community. The contestants earn scholarships to help further their education while working toward college or postgraduate degrees. The nonprofit Women's Scholarship Foundation has sponsored the Miss Rogue Valley Scholarship Pageant for more than 50 years. The pageant provides more than $10,000 in scholarships to young women in Jackson and Josephine counties.
