Reader Mail By Chip and Jonathan Carter Tribune Media Services Back to the mailbag! HEY CHIP & JONATHAN : I just got NFL Blitz 2000 for N64, but you know me never satisfied. Got any codes yet? Poppy Bernfield, Ithaca, N.Y. DEAR POPPY : We're ready for you. These should work on any version of Blitz, be it N64, PlayStation or DreamCast. The numbers refer to how many times you click a button in the corresponding window while you're waiting for the game to start (you know, where the three icons appear at the bottom of the screen): 3-2-1 left headless players 3-4-4 up no interceptions 5-5-5 up two player hyper blitz 2-2-2 left always QB on multiplayer 1-1-1 down tournament mode with no computer help 3-2-1 down no hits on target receiver 1-2-3 left maximum field goal distance 2-0-0 right big heads HEY CHIP & JONATHAN : How can I get Donkey Kong in Mario Golf (N64)? I know he's supposed to be in there, but I can't find him. Cindy Eliazor, Santa Rosa, Calif. DEAR CINDY : To get Donkey Kong as a playable character, you have to get 30 stars in the Ring Mode that is, shoot the ball through the rings and make par or better 30 times. And here are some other tips for this great golf game. To get the Mario Star course, you have to get a total of 2,200 points. To play as Maple, score 50 birdie badges in Tournament mode. To unlock the Metal Mario character, get all 108 birdie badges in Tournament mode. To get Bowser, finish the "Get Character" mode, then play again as Mario. You'll take on Bowser win and he becomes a playable character.  HEY CHIP & JONATHAN : I heard a rumor that you can play as Parappa the Rappa in Um Jammer Lammy (PlayStation). What's the scoop? Susan Nickerson, Houston, Texas DEAR SUSAN : Our preferred scoop is one-half chocolate chip cookie dough, one-half chocolate almond. But for your purposes, that won't work. In fact, Parappa does indeed appear in this most awesome of PlayStation games ... and there are some other tricks as well: Complete any two stages in the normal game and you can access the two-player co-op game. Finish the one-player game and you can play as Parappa. Beat the two-player coop game and you can play a competitive mode. Beat the one-player mode as Parappa and you can play two-player as Lammy and Parappa. Beat the two-player Lammy/Parappa and you can play a two-player Lammy vs. Parappa mode. HEY CHIP & JONATHAN : I'm ready for college football to start. Meanwhile, I'm playing NCAA Football 2000 for PlayStation. Got any tricks to keep me from getting bored while I'm waiting? Harry Dreive, St. Petersburg, Fla. HARRY : We got tons. Use these passwords on the cheat code screen. For all stadia, it's STADSGALORE For no fumbles enter GIMMEDABALL To score points by knocking the ref around, enter BADCALL For tons of interceptions, use PIXGALORE To prevent offensive breakaways, it's BRICKWALL For super field goals, try ICBM To max out your recruiting points, enter STAFFUP To create perfect players, enter BLUECHIP For a super team, it's UNSTOPPABLE And to see the computer's plays in one-player mode, it's MINDREADER And try these codes to get hidden teams: INTHEGAME All EA Sports teams LASERBEAMS All Tiburon teams INSIDENOUTSIDE 1947 Army team FORTYSEVENONE 1957 Oklahoma team BRUTUS 1970 Ohio State team GAMEOFCENTURY 1971 Nebraska team SCHOONER 1971 Oklahoma team HEDGES 1976 Georgia team TOUCHTHEROCK 1981 Clemson team GOFOR2 -- 1983 Nebraska team MIRACLE 1984 Boston College team LINEBACKERINT 1986 Penn State team FATIGUES 1986 Miami team MONSTERD 1987 Miami team HURTQB 1988 West Virginia team GREENGANG 1994 Oregon team ALMOSTNO.17 1994 Penn State team TURNOVER 1997 Washington State team SPLITVOTE 1997 Michigan team SMOKEY 1997 Tennessee team Chip & Jonathan Carter are a father/son gaming team who've been twiddling their thumbs professionally since 1990.
