The victim said she had just left the Time Out Sports Bar at 12:13 a.m. and was opening the lock to her car when two men approached her from behind, according to the Medford Police Department. Both men grabbed her, with one pinning back her arms and the other taking her purse, Medford police Lt. Mike Moran said. The woman said one of the men had a hunting knife 6 to 8 inches long, Moran said. The woman struggled with the attackers and eventually fell to the ground, Moran said. The woman told police the robbers took $86 cash and her credit cards before fleeing on foot, he said. Advertisement The woman suffered some superficial injuries to the fingers on her right hand, Moran said. The woman returned to the bar screaming, saying she was mugged, Moran said. When police arrived, they found the contents of the woman’s purse scattered in the bar parking lot at 1213 Stewart Ave., Moran said. No one has come forward to say he witnessed the attack, but a bar employee and a patron told police they heard her screams for help but did not go outside, Moran said. The victim was unable to give investigators much of a description, only that both men appeared Hispanic and one of the attackers had a "high-and-tight" haircut and a gold tooth, Moran said. The case remained under investigation Monday, police said.
