New facility also headed for Eagle Point EAGLE POINT -- The Upper Rogue region will soon have its first assisted living facility. Terrace Construction Inc., of Portland is building 60 assisted living apartments on Nova Street. Eagle Cove is expected to be operating by January. It will be managed by Terrace Construction's parent company, Generations Inc. of Portland, which built and manages three other assisted living facilities in Southern Oregon: Alderwood in Central Point, Skylark in Ashland and The Orchard in Medford. Eagle Cove eventually will include an Alzheimer's unit and a separate medical clinic, the first doctor's office in Eagle Point in several years. "As a society we are getting older," said Mike LaNier, a partner and associate with The Richard Stevens Company of Medford, which helped develop Eagle Cove. "There is a need for assisted living facilities in every community," LaNier said. "As the baby boomers roll into their 60s, we can see it's going to be fairly significant when that big swell of the population starts hitting the care facility arena."
