Medford police Monday arrested Workman on charges of failure to register as a sex offender and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He was additionally charged with parole violation on a second-degree rape conviction. He was booked in the Jackson County Jail and held without bail. Sex Offender — Stephen James Vanderwoude, 27, of the 4600 block of Crater Lake Highway, Medford. Medford police Monday arrested Vanderwoude on a charge of felony failure to register as a sex offender. He was booked in the jail and released on his own recognizance. Drugs — Jorge Alejandr Malfabon-Padila, 33, of the 1200 block of Bens Lane, Medford. Malfabon-Padila Monday made his first court appearance on a charge of possession of cocaine. He was booked in the jail and released on his own recognizance.   Crime Reports Theft — 300 block of Elm Street, Medford. Medford police took a report at 9:22 a.m. Monday of an unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle. Items reported stolen included a Pioneer DVD car stereo valued at $230, a vehicle dashboard with HVAC controls valued at $700, and a pair of shoes valued at $75.
