Wolgast Comment MailTribune.com Writer Posted Sep. 9, 2014 @ 2:00 am Posted Sep. 9, 2014 @ 2:00 am » Social News Jane Wolgast, 82, of Gold Hill, Ore. passed away Friday September 5, 2014 in Medford, Ore. Jane was born to Clarence and Hazel Ribble March 1, 1932 in Metamora, Mich. She married Lewis Wolgast of Dryden, Mich. October 10, 1952. Jane graduated from Lapeer High School in 1950. She attended Stephens College in Missouri and Flint Junior College where she graduated with an associate degree in business. After her marriage to Lewis, they moved to Lapeer, Mich. where they owned a dairy farm and raised their five children. In 1979 the family moved to Gold Hill, Ore. where their children and families settled. Jane traveled extensively as a child with her parents and older brother, Jim Ribble. Jane's love of traveling continued throughout her life. She also enjoyed gardening, funny movies, and most of all loved to laugh and spend time with her family. Jane was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by four children, Craig (Stephanie) Wolgast, Renee (Steve) Hefley, Jerry (Caroline) Wolgast, and Eric Wolgast; nine grandchildren, Jason (Sarah) Owens, Chelsea Wolgast, Wyatt (Maira) Hefley, Chad Hefley, Carsey Wolgast, Jordan Wolgast, Logan Wolgast, and Sammi Costello; seven great-grandchildren, Andrew, Howard, Evelyn, Giselle, Emily, Ljube, and James. She is also survived by her brother, Jim Ribble. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis and daughter, Rosi Costello. There will be a viewing from 5:00-6:30 p.m. Friday September 12, 2014 at Memory Gardens, 1395 Arnold Lane, Medford. Jane's funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m. Saturday September 13, 2014 at Rock Point Cemetery in Gold Hill. A celebration of her life will be held after the service at her family home.
