Landslide closes Highway 42 to the coast Dec 23, 2015 12:00 AM A A Oregon Highway 42 is closed to all traffic at the Coos-Douglas county line (MP 45) due to a landslide, according to a report from the Oregon Department of Transportation. Travelers in Southern Oregon are advised to use Oregon 38 or U.S. 199 for east-west travel from the Oregon Coast to Interstate 5. There is no estimated time for Oregon 42 to reopen.
