Reid’s mares Miss Congeniality and In Gold We Trust scored victories worth over $2,600 in purses on the 10-race card. In Gold We Trust won the ninth race, a $2,400 thoroughbred allowance for fillies and mares going 6½ furlongs. Miss Congeniality triumphed in a $5,000 claimer with a $2,400 purse for fillies and mares covering the same distance. Jockey Jaime Martinez was in the saddle on both mounts. Martinez scored a third victory on Perfecta Pita in the day’s final race. It’s the second time in consecutive weekends that Martinez has recorded three wins on a card. Soup N’ Crackers won the $3,500 Carol Wilson Memorial featured seventh race for fillies and mares 3-years-old and up. Duane D’Amico, the current leading rider at GP Downs, guided the Clarence Courtright owned and trained thoroughbred to the victory in the 6½ -furlong race. Advertisement A crowd of 1,191 wagered $51,718. Racing continues June 26 and 27 with a 1 p.m. post time at the Josephine County Fairgrounds.
