Jonathan Michael Demean was taken by police to Jackson County’s juvenile hall on the felony charges after being released from Rogue Valley Medical Center on Feb. 10, Oregon State Police said in a news release. Demean was the driver of a 1988 Acura Integra that flipped on Highway 140 near Fish Lake and milepost 28. Two of his passengers, Travis Michael Boswell, 17, and Zachary Keith Delong, 15, died in the crash, police said. Another passenger, Peter Torri-Ezikiel Mejia, 14, remains hospitalized in critical condition at RVMC, a nursing supervisor said Saturday. According to a report in the Klamath Falls Herald and News, the four teens had run away from Warner Mountains group home in the Modoc County, Calif., city of Canby. According to the Klamath Falls newspaper, the group home is not a locked-down facility.
