The finals of the West Coast Dwarf Car Nationals at the speedway. Gates open at 4 p.m., with racing at 6. Pro stocks will also be run tonight. Friday’s qualifying race was marred by crashes and needed three restarts before the race could get under way. On Lap 12, Las Vegas’ Richie Abbott lost his steering and hit the back straight crash wall and flipped onto his roof, bringing out the red flag. After several more cautions and a few lead changes, Ewing grabbed the lead on Lap 13 and kept it the rest of the way. Advertisement In the mini stocks main, Joe Dirt triumphed after Bob Burkett lost power and had to give way. Burkett won his heat race and the trophy dash and led the first 13 laps of the main.
