Lucas Charles Corbett, 25, of Medford, was being held Tuesday night in the Jackson County Jail on felony charges of failure to perform duties of a driver to injured persons, driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving and reckless endangering. Six people, including Corbett, were taken to Rogue Valley Medical Center with injuries. Medford police officer Mike Strouse said none of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening. Names of those injured were not provided. Witnesses told police that Corbett was driving recklessly while headed east on Barnett Road, east of Murphy Road, at about 6:30 p.m. His vehicle crossed the center dividing line and struck an oncoming vehicle, sending it into a third car. Corbett ran away, but was apprehended minutes later by an officer, Strouse said. Corbett was taken to the hospital before being lodged in jail.
