Medford police nab alleged KFC robber Sean Reed Sunday Oct 22, 2017 at 9:23 AM Oct 22, 2017 at 9:27 AM Medford police say they nabbed a man who robbed the KFC in south Medford Saturday night after spying him fleeing the scene with a cash register in his hands. The robbery occurred at about 7:15 p.m. Saturday, according to a Medford police Facebook post this morning. A man entered the restaurant with his face covered and allegedly armed with a gun and ransacked the place, taking two large cash registers before fleeing, the post says. Officers swarming the area saw the man running down East Barnett Road with one of the cash registers still in his hands. "In police work, that is what we call a clue," the post quips. Police arrested Sean Reed, 27, in the parking lot of the Royal Crest Motel on a charge of second-degree robbery. He also is being held in the Jackson County Jail without bail on a parole violation from an identity theft case, according to jail records. Police found the second cash register nearby, the post reads.
