[Photo courtesy of Josephine County Sheriff’s Office] Four raids carried out in Josephine County Three men were arrested this week during raids that uncovered guns, $400,000 in cash, 12,000 marijuana plants and 10,000 pounds of processed marijuana, the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office said. The four raids carried out Monday and Tuesday targeted illegal marijuana grows in the 4000 block of Redwood Avenue in Grants Pass, the 12000 block of Williams Highway in the Applegate Valley, the 300 block of Livingston Way, and the 1500 block of Three Pines Road north of Merlin, according to the sheriff’s office. Marijuana found at the sites was destroyed, the sheriff’s office said. All of the properties had multiple water and electrical code violations that could result in civil forfeiture of the properties, the sheriff’s office said. Jesus Alcazar-Varelas, 34, Christopher James Clark, 28, and Blu Shayne McFadde, 50, were arrested and lodged at the Josephine County Jail on charges of unlawful manufacturing of marijuana, unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful delivery of marijuana, according to the sheriff’s office. The Josephine Marijuana Enforcement Team carried out the raids with the help of Rogue Area Drug Enforcement and Josephine County Code Enforcement, the sheriff’s office said.
