Southern Oregon Concert Band at Southern Oregon University May 19, 2014 12:00 AM A A The Southern Oregon Concert Band, directed by Cynthia Hutton, will present “Folk Songs and Dances,” a program that will include Vaughn Williams’ “Folk Song Suite,” Cesarini’s “Greek Folk Song Suite” and Graham’s “Swedish Folk Song,” along with Robert Russell Bennett’s three dances from “Suite of Old American Dances” and others. Also look for a medley of songs from the movie “Mary Poppins.” The show is at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 22, in the Music Recital Hall on the Southern Oregon University campus, 1250 Siskiyou Blvd., Ashland.
