Police reports, Oct. 20-23 Oct 23, 2017 12:00 AM A A Friday, 10:50 a.m. — Police investigated a report of suspicious activity in the Ashland area. Friday, 11:26 a.m. — An abandoned vehicle was towed from the 1300 block of Quincy Street. Friday, 1:40 p.m. — Police arrested a man at the intersection of East Main and North Pioneer streets on two outstanding warrants and cited him for smoking in a prohibited area. Two other men were arrested for drinking in public and violating open container laws. Friday, 5:53 p.m. — Police arrested a woman on a criminal trespass charge in the 2200 block of Ashland Street and lodged her in the Jackson County Jail. Friday, 8:21 p.m. — Police arrested a man in the 100 block of East Main Street on an outstanding warrant. Saturday, 1:03 a.m. — Police arrested a man in the 100 block of East Main Street on multiple warrants. Saturday, 2:22 a.m. — Police arrested a juvenile female at the intersection of Morse Avenue and Blaine Street for driving under the influence of intoxicants. Saturday, 8:12 a.m. — Police investigated a vandalism report in the 2300 block of Ashland Street. Saturday, 10:48 a.m. — Police found a bike in the 2300 block of Ashland Street. Saturday, 3:25 p.m. — Police arrested a man at the intersection of East Main and North Pioneer streets on a detention warrant. He was also cited for smoking in a prohibited area. Saturday, 3:45 p.m. — Police cited two men in the first block of North Main Street for smoking in a prohibited area. Saturday, 7:53 p.m. — Police investigated a theft case involving a stolen Apple iPad in the 2200 block of Ashland Street. Saturday, 10:08 p.m. — Police arrested a man at the intersection of Morton and Blaine streets on an outstanding warrant, and on a new charge of methamphetamine possession. Sunday, 12:44 a.m. — Police took a man into protective custody in the 100 block of Will Dodge Way and transported him to detox. Sunday, 1:39 a.m. — A subject stop in the first block of North Second Street led to a warrant arrest. Sunday, 11:19 p.m. — Police arrested a man in the 2200 block of Ashland Street for violating a no contact order and carrying a concealed weapon. Monday, 1:01 a.m. — Police responded to a report of driving under the influence of intoxicants at the intersection of High and Bush streets. Monday, 2:49 a.m. — Police arrested a woman in the first block of Morton Street on a warrant. They also cited a man for driving while suspended.
