Alfrey broke out to an early lead only to be passed by several cars, including Klimcheck, and slipped back to the middle of the pack. Klimcheck continued to gain ground on the leader, Chris Biggs, and gained second place on the 15th lap. Biggs and Klimcheck battled through the final few laps but Biggs was successful in holding him off to become the 11th modified feature event winner of the season. Season points winner Alfrey finished eighth, just enough to win the modified championship over Klimcheck by 14 points. In pro stocks, Dave Everson and Jared Morrill broke away from the pack and put on quite a show through the last several laps, with Everson barely holding off Morrill for the checkered flag. Rick Hunsley came in third, followed by Bo Shields in fourth and points leader Frank Word III in fifth. Advertisement Tom Williams took the checkered flag in mini stocks followed by Rocky Bass, who came in second in a borrowed car. Points leader Dave Bishop had already wrapped up the championship so he decided to be done racing for the season and turned his car over to Milt Carter. Starting in ninth position, it only took Jeff Harsha seven laps to take over first place in the dwarf car feature.
