Anabel Lee Shearer (Martindale) Jul 02, 2006 12:00 AM A A Anabel Lee Martindale Shearer Anabel Lee Martindale Shearer passed away at her home in Medford, Ore. on June 19, 2006. She is survived by her husband James & sons Steven and his wife, Judy, and J. Kent. There are also six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Anabel is also survived by her sister; Margy Rae Bour, brother; Richard E. Martindale, his wife, Arlene; and sister-in-law Polly Marindale. Anabel was preceded in death by brothers, Thomas, Clinton, Bill and sister, Helen. Anabel was born in Coalinga, Calif., and moved to Coquille at 5 years old. She graduated from Coquille High School in 1942. On Oct. 19 th 1944, Anabel married Lt JG James Shearer, a War time fighter pilot, in San Diego, Calif., They spent the next 62 years happily married.
