The Raiders (25-5) toppled the 10th-ranked Cavs (23-3) 30-28, 30-26, 26-30, 30-21 on their Portland home court Saturday to win the NAIA Region I tournament for the second consecutive season and gain an automatic berth to the 20-team national tournament in the process. In what would have been her final collegiate match had SOU lost, senior hitter Kacee Jacobsen struck for a career-high 23 kills, while junior All-American Kristina Matchett racked up 20 kills. SOU is the first conference opponent to defeat Concordia over the past 75 matches since October 1999, including post-season play.
